Turkish, Chinese experts discuss COVID-19 via video conference

ANKARA?— Turkish and Chinese COVID-19 experts have exchanged views about the novel coronavirus through a video conference, daily Hurriyet reported March 27.

Turkey's Science Committee for Coronavirus, and the Chinese officials and scientists exchanged know-how and experience about the coronavirus during the three-hour meeting, the Turkish health ministry said in a statement.

The Chinese experts gave a presentation and a question-and-answer session on the issue of the pandemic.

The meeting addressed topics such as the course of the disease, known features, effects in age groups, specific symptoms of the disease, diagnostic methods, treatment protocols, vaccination studies and conditions of healing patients, said the statement.

On March 27, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced a total of 5,698 COVID-19 cases and 92 deaths in the country.
