XIAMEN — Xiamen Airlines has dispatched two charter flights to Thailand's Bangkok and Malaysia's Kota Kinabalu to bring home more than 200 Hubei tourists stranded following the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province.

The two airplanes departed for the two cities at 1:17 pm and 1:34 pm on Jan 31, respectively, from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. The planes will take the travelers to Wuhan before heading back to Xiamen in East China's Fujian province.

Xiamen Airlines is fully prepared in terms of safety and epidemic prevention for the flights, the airline said. The crew members are experienced and well trained in safety precautions. Once landed, they will undergo medical observation for 14 days.
