China has established its delegation for the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition.

The delegation, approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on Sept 21, consists of 146 people including contestants, experts and interpreters. The delegation will travel to seven countries, including Germany, Switzerland and France, where contestants will take part in 34 events from early October to late November.

It's the sixth time that China will send a delegation to a WorldSkills competition since joining the organization in October 2010.

WorldSkills decided on June 28 that a special edition of 62 competitive events will be held in 15 countries and regions in Asia, Europe and Africa from mid-September to late November to serve as a replacement of the canceled WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 event.

On June 1, organizers announced the cancellation of that event due to the then COVID-19 outbreak occurring in the city at that time.

WorldSkills is a biennial event that invites contestants from 85 countries and regions to take part in vocational skills competitions.
