Two sections of a massive bridge over the Yellow River, the second-longest river in China, were successfully joined together in Zhengzhou city, capital of Central China's Henan province, on May 19. As part of the railways linking Zhengzhou and Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, the bridge has been designed as a common channel for many intercity and inter-provincial routes to cross the Yellow River.
