The State Council has decided to form a leading group for this year’s 19th Asian Games and 4th Asian Para Games, aimed at organizing and hosting the events, scheduled for September, according to a circular issued by the General Office of the State Council on April 14.

Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan was appointed head of the group, while State Councilor Wang Yong was appointed top deputy.

Deputy heads include: Yuan Jiajun, secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee; Gou Zhongwen,  head of the General Administration of Sports; and Zhang Haidi, president of the China Disabled Persons' Federation.
