State Councilor and Minister of National Defense Wei Fenghe met with Hun Manet, deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, in Beijing on Feb 26.

Wei valued the strong bond between China and Cambodia against the backdrop of the complicated international situation.

China is willing to step up cooperation with Cambodia at all levels and proceed with explorations in emerging fields and modes for further cooperation, in a bid to make the China-Cambodian military ties a significant pillar of an all-around strategic partnership between the two countries and safeguard each other’s interests as well as regional security and stability.

China-Cambodian relations, Hun agreed, are at their best period in history. Cambodia is willing to promote cooperation between the two countries along with China.
