The fourth plenary meeting of the organizing committee of the seventh Military World Games was held in Beijing on Nov 19.

Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan, also head of the organizing committee and a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, addressed the meeting.

The military and other local departments have worked together to make the games a great success, Sun said, recognizing their innovative efforts to complete tasks in a green and open manner.

The spirit of innovation and openness showcased at the event should be continued to energize future actions to promote China’s socioeconomic development, as well as its defense and military buildup, to break new ground in various fields, she added.
